The Residential Tenancies (Healthy Homes Standards) Regulations 2019 set timeframes for compliance, with private landlords having 120 days from the start of a new or renewed tenancy, but no later than July 1, 2025, to comply.
All rental properties must comply by 1 July 2025. All landlords must meet Healthy Homes Standards obligations from 1 July 2025 and provide a Healthy Homes Standards compliance statement to their tenants.
